Conservation Landscaping
Tour and Training

CCLC invites Landscape Architects, Designers, Contractors, Green Industry Employees, Students, Gardeners and Homeowners to tour sites in and around Baltimore City that illustrate Eight Essential Elements of Conservation Landscaping. These Elements include environmentally sensitive design, low-impact development, use of non-invasive native plants, and good wildlife habitat.

Meeting point will be in or near Baltimore City (TBD)
Tour will include:

1. Alley Gating: Urban Neighborhood Green Space
2. Schoolyard Conservation and Habitat
3. Biohabitats: Interior Living wall
4. Herring Run: Green Roof, Native Plantings and Curb-Cut Rain Garden

Lunch at Herring Run
5. Residential Green Roof
6. Commercial Native Plantings and Quad Rain Barrel System
7. Raised storm drain rain gardens

Return to meeting point

Technical experts will be on hand at each stop on the tour to provide a short overview about the technical aspects of the site and answers to design, construction, maintenance and cost questions.

Directions to the meeting place for the start of the tour will be provided to registrants.

HOW TO REGISTER:

Fee of $40 per person includes an informational package, transportation and lunch. Register online or print registration form (to the right). If mailing form, make check payable to “CCLC” and put “Maryland Tour” in the memo line. Mail registration form and check to:
