The Eight Essential Elements

These elements represent the practice of conservation landscaping. By implementing these practices, you can contribute to the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay watershed and improve the region’s water and air quality. Incorporate as many of these elements as possible into your landscape, to benefit all life in our watershed.

Turning A New Leaf Conference

Save the date for the 2015 Turning A New Leaf Conference, held this year in Towson, MD. The Conference will be on November 13th and bring together professionals from landscape design, contracting, horticulture, planning and education to learn about the latest trends, issues and technologies in the field of conservation landscaping.

The conference consists of various presentations from industry leaders, innovators and experts; includes an EcoMarketplace where businesses can market their products and services; and multiple networking opportunities for attendees to discuss current projects and new ideas.

Our History

CCLC was brought about from a need to convene like-minded individuals that would promote conservation landscaping to landscape professionals, homeowners, and the business community in the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
