About Scotty Guinn Dilworth
Scotty Guinn Dilworth (1965–2022) was a certified Certified BMP (Best Management Practices) Landscape Professional (CBLP) and the visionary founder of SG Designs, an award-winning and innovative sustainable landscape design firm based in the Richmond area. Through her design business, Scotty not only created beautiful and environmentally responsible landscapes but also built a nurturing space for young professionals to grow, learn, and thrive.
As a mentor and leader, Scotty was deeply committed to empowering the next generation of landscape designers and stewards of our environment. She employed and guided numerous young people, helping launch their careers in the landscape design industry with a focus on sustainable practices and green infrastructure maintenance. Beyond technical skills, she instilled a respect and passion for nature, emphasizing the importance of caring for the land and the people who work tirelessly to protect it.
Scotty was known for her boundless creativity, compassion, and belief in the power of community.
